Where a season is pinned up before anyone talks about it.
The room is at 16/3 Phahonyothin Road, Anusawari, Bang Khen, Bangkok 10220. Long sheets hang on dark wood. The briefing table is the same table the draft was drawn on.
From the first letter to the bound set
- 1 · A letter, not a questionnaire Write the property name, the city, the nights you care about, and who will sit in the briefing. If you already know which reading fits, name it. If you do not, describe the month that felt wrong.
- 2 · Half an hour on the books We telephone or meet to hear whether the night audit, the out-of-order log, and the group contracts exist for those dates. A missing week stops the work early, while there is still time to choose another span.
- 3 · The books come to Bang Khen Courier them, or bring them yourself on a morning we have named. Pages can be paper or a clear copy of the night-audit records your desk already closes. We keep a file copy under the counting rules you confirm.
- 4 · Two quiet weeks of drafting Anan lays down sold, empty, and out-of-order marks. Mali writes the reading. You receive a draft a few days before we meet, with room to mark a night that looks unfamiliar.
- 5 · Ninety minutes at the table In Bangkok we can come to the hotel or you can come to Phahonyothin Road. Outside Bangkok we travel. You leave with the bound charts and the written pages. Corrections, if the draft had a wrong night, follow within five working days.
What to carry into the room
Night-audit summaries for the span, and the same span a year earlier when you still have it. The out-of-order log. Group contracts and the release you actually used. A sentence on complimentary rooms and on day-use. If a flood, a closure, or a renovation took rooms off the rack, say which nights, even if the remarks column was left blank at the time.
You do not need a presentation. The charts will already be large enough to read from the other side of the table. If a department head should hear a particular week — reservations for the wash, engineering for the leak — bring them for that part and let them leave.
Asking for a date
Drafting weeks book up around Songkran and again before the Andaman high season. A letter now still finds a gap in ordinary months within three weeks of the books arriving. Tell us the week you would like to sit down, and a second week if the first is tight.
